Always make a backup of the files that are overwritten by the File Archive, as the original files are usually required to update the game to a newer version or to play Online!.
Some No-CD/Fixed EXE files work fine in Single Player mode but are detected to be modified when trying to play online. When this happens use the original EXE to play online, else you could find yourself banned from the game!. When using Fixed Files make sure to use a Firewall which controls outgoing traffic, as some games call back to report the use of these modified files!. Hello,I have a basic question that millions of others have probably asked before. Can my PC handle the games that I want to try? I know that each games system requirements can be found, but that doesn't mean it will work. I also know that downloading previews and partial games can be done, but that doesn't always answer the question either.I also know that there are a million configurations of PC's out there and no two act the same, so I would like to see what some of you have to say about what I would like to try and if you have knowledge of how it runs from your experiences.Up front I want to thank any/all of you for responses that help me to gain knowledge about all this. Well first of all, u provided too much unnecssary info:), i had some trouble figuring out those specs. However with that 8400GS i guess u could run most the games u listed at resonable resolutions as they are quite old, and the latest of them works good with ur GPU.I couldnt figure out ur proc's core clock so im basing this just on the GPU, the other specs are good enough for these games.hope i helped.:) AmericanCIA0001 i agree on too much info and being able to run those games.
But as for newer games like far cry 2, gta 4, the sequels to those games that u may wanna try out. U may have a hard time running those, as they would prolly be running on low settings if any. QUOTE='LibertySaint'QUOTE='-kaz3-'No need to post every last detail of every component (like the manufacturer of your display.). I believe there's a website somewhere (google it) that tells you if your pc can run the game (I'm unsure if it will tell you at what quality levels). Yeah but its not as helpful usually and we don't mind. If u don't wanna post in these threads don't.who said I don't want to post in these threads? I was just directing him to a website he COULD use for future reference, it's not like I was discouraging him from asking his question here:roll.
